Vietnamese Shaking Beef (Bò Lúc Lắc)
Ingredients
Directions
Step 1) Start with cutting the ribeye into cubes and set aside in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2) Marinade the meat by combining all of the spices and sauces into the mixing bowl with the meat. Make sure to mix well, cover, and place into the refrigerator for at least 1 to 24 hours (longer the better for best results).
Step 3) Prep the bell peppers and the red onion by cutting them into chunks (a bit smaller than the meat). Set aside for later use.
Step 4) Heat the wok over medium-high heat (adjust the temperature based on your stove if needed), add olive oil and start searing the meat in batches (2-3 minutes on all sides).
Step 5) Once that is completed, place all of the meat back into the wok. Pour the Hennessy into the wok to caramelize the meat. Then remove the meat again into a bowl for later use.
Step 6) Using the same wok, pour olive oil into the pan. Add the red onions and cook for a minute or so. Then add the red and green bell peppers into the pan with the red onions and cook for two to three minutes.
Step 7) Then add the cooked meat and butter into the pan and stir for another 5 minutes or so.
Step 8) Once done, add the meat and veggies onto a bed of salad greens. Enjoy with a side of rice!
